Canon 85 1.2L II - Sample Photos (on Canon 1DX)

Another nice piece of glass from Canon, my second favourite lens (behind Canon 70-200/2.8 L II IS). I have this lens from February 2016.

Pros:

- sharp from 1.2, razor sharp from 2.0;

- great bokeh and colors;

Cons:

- high level of chromatic aberrations at 1.2-1.4;

- slow AF, sometimes innacurate (but works fine on 1DX);

- build quality (not perfectly sealed)

Samyang 85 T/1.5 - Photos

I don't like staged portraits. I like to show natural emotions, motion, nice colors and good, blurred background. I am not an "artist-photographer", I am photojournalist. But I wanted to test portait lens on my Canon 1DX.

I bought Samyang 85 T/1.5. Why? Because it's good for videos and photos and I like to record videos sometimes because I have channel on YouTube.

What can I say about this lens?
I am still testing it. It's manual lens with no focus confirmation and you know what does it mean. Picture resolution - good at 1.5 (but it could be not enough in some situations, CA are visible too), very good at 2.0 with low level of CA. It's also difficult to shoot at 1.5, especially people in motion.
On my Canon 60D camera there's no sense to shoot with this lens because picture is too soft at 1.5, and just ok at 2.0 (I don't like aps-c from Canon now. In my opinion Nikon offers more on their DX format for the same or lower price than new Canon aps-c cameras).

I want to show you my sample shots with aperture usually at 1.5-2.0.

Canon 100mm f/2.8 L IS Macro - Photos & Videos (Canon 1DX)

This is my second maro lens. First was Canon 60/2.8 macro, I used it with Canon 60D for 3 years.
What can I say about this lens? It's sharp like 60/2.8 (I don't see big difference in picture resolution, but at f/2.8, 100/2.8 IS is sharper; 100/2.8 IS on 60D is worse than 60/2.8, so this is not good lens for aps-c in my opinion), it has IS and it's weather sealed. Video quality is much more better. On 60D videos are more blurred and there's a low level of moire.
Lens is very good, but I don't like noisy IS. I have a Tamron 24-70/2.8 VC and it's more silent in my videos. AF works fine, but it's very slow in the low light conditions.
